Today was garden day. We are growing three tomato plants, peas, green & yellow squash, and some pumpkins. I haven't ever grown anything before (Wow, I am embarrassed, now ya'll know I'm not perfect :) )! Keeping up with all the pressures in life we are turning more to organic and home grown foods. So, that being said, we started a trial garden. Does anyone know how many pumpkins you get from one pumpkin plant? We are planting three!
---Oh, and I found this website that has a ton of good info on it... Guess this might answer my question? http://gardening.about.com/od/preservingtheharvest/a/Preserving.htm

Angie- you are so cute! I want a garden, but the freakin' moose eat anything you try to grow, supposedly you have to put a 10 foot fence around anything you want to have a chance at living. Oh- and it doesn't go a week without snowing. Maybe you should mail me some fresh veggies... YUM!! LOL
Hey angie, I had a garden for two years before moving here to Oregon. I never grew pumpkins, but I am pretty sure it is more that one (I know not very helpful). Tomatoes, watermelon, carrots, onions, peas, beans and strawberries were all last years crop. Have fun & I am just a little jealous but mostly excited that you have a garden, good luck sister.
Forget brown thumb, I'm a black thumb so no help from me. I'm sure you'll get some things growing. If for some reason it doesn't work head to the farmer's market.
