Going Home

This song was sung at my dad's funeral by John Terry and Heather Terry. It was beautiful. It's called "going home" off the soundtrack to the movie Gods & Generals. It was one of my dads favorite movies.

Leaving St. George

I love St. George. It was hard for me to leave. I lived there for a year after I graduated from Ricks. I miss it. I had good times, and good friends. My brother Chuck is there now teaching 3rd grade so we go every chance we get. Here we are hiking the red hills by the Dixie sign. It made me remember a lot of fun times when I was "younger"! I miss ya Kellie, Wendy, Jamos, Kenley bo benley, Shannon - you're a korker, & Leetle Beetle.

Mothers Day

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful son. He is so sweet and kind to me.

The Beach

My favorite time on vacation was spent on the beach! They were beautiful. The beaches up the Sea of Cortez are a beautiful turquoise color and you can see through the water! We saw tons of tropical fish, jellyfish and even a manta ray which was Jaxon's favorite.

La Bufadora Baja

Save some time by checking out my picture and skipping La Bufadora and go downtown Encinata for shopping. It's an hour long bus ride each way, and I was disappointed at how much garbage was around this natural blow hole.

Mexican Fish Tacos or Maui Tacos?

A piece of advice... If you want some really good fish taco's when traveling try Maui Taco's off Kihei Beach in Maui. The authentic fish taco's in Mexico so far can't touch em!

Tribute to Sammy Hagar - Cabo Wabo!

Ok, funny story. We went to Cabo Wabo for lunch and John saw the menu. He thought that the menu was in dollars, not pesos, so he didn't want to pay $75 for nachos! LOL, yeah that would be $7.50 in us dollars or 75 PESOS! LOL!

Cabo San Lucas

These are some pictures from our boat excursion. We took a tour in a glass bottom boat. We got some great shots of lands end including Lovers Beach, pelican rock, and the Arcos (El Arco).

Leaving San Diego...

I took so many pictures on this trip. Here are a few of us leaving San Diego Harbor. I absolutely love San Diego! John and I spent part of our honeymoon in San Diego. There is a restaurant right on the harbor called Anthony's. We love it! Anyhow, let's not get distracted. We took Jaxon on this cruise and it was wonderful! We had a total blast our first day in San Diego!

Another Z Goal accomplished!

Thanks to David A. Christensen's class... Principles of Inner Victory (Ricks 96...LOL), I am crossing off another Z goal! After a few very hard weeks John surprised us earlier by booking a Mexican Cruise. We traveled down the Baja Peninsula and up the Sea of Cortez. It was beautiful, and fun. Before my dad passed away he kept saying "I'm going on a cruise!" I felt very blessed to get away and enjoy the sea for a few weeks! My thoughts turned to dad occasionally, and the majesty of this beautiful world that has been created for us!

Dads Funeral

It was a wonderful day. Dad is at rest. What a wonderful person in my life, and in the life of many others. We will miss you dad! Thank you to everyone who attended the funeral. Thank you for the condolences, and your friendship. It is much appreciated. We love all of you very much, and are grateful for the everlasting plan of salvation.

Now was the time.

Dad passed away last night (May 9, 2008, 8pm) at home with his family beside him. His passing was a very personal spiritual experience for me. I held his hand as he took his last breath and was reassured that I would see him again. All of his children were there to assist him and help him to his last breath. Dad was able to tell us to take care of our mother, and was also able to see several of his brothers and sisters before passing. Last night was very peaceful. My dad has been a strength to me. He has helped me endure trials and gave me reassurance that all will be well even under very adverse circumstances. I loved my dad, and will miss him.

May we live so that when that final summons is heard, we may have no serious regrets, no unfinished business, but will be able to say with the Apostle Paul, 'I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.'"
