Dad

Dad's in the hospital again. He is dying of kidney failure. He is doing much better now, as a few days ago we were told to prepare for the worst. Now we just hope and wait, and pray that he can get any comfort. He is really swollen and nearly twice his size. Mom told us that he might be moved to a specialized hospital where he can receive the help he needs on dialysis. It doesn't look like he will be coming home for at least six weeks. I am so thankful to have fond memories of my dad and am grateful for the strength that Heavenly Father gives me through these tough times.

Sense and Some Sensibility

So with only one child, (a boy of course) I fancy myself lucky enough to have a plethora of chick flicks. Today was Jane Austin day at our house. John even took a brief interest (ok...very brief, and then he found solace in doing the dishes, and spending quality boy time with Jaxon). I am a total Marianne! Not just because she had a few more curves than her sisters, but because she was a hopeless romantic and then eventually settled down into "real life." This might interest all you Jane Austin fans:

I was:

I am Marianne Dashwood!

John was (LOL!):

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

LOL! Hee, hee!

Tag you're it!

I just got tagged to write 7 things about me that you don't already know.

1- My first kiss was in Jr. High School from Duff Holland (yes, it was Elder Hollands son). It was only on the cheek, but what a kiss to remember.

2- I have a pair of socks that are now 11 years old. I somehow wound up with them when I left college one summer. I think they belong to my roommate Lisa. I keep thinking that I will hold on to them and give them back to her one day. Sometimes when I am sick I slip them on and enjoy! I finally got a Christmas card from Lisa this year, so I might just mail em back!

3- I auditioned for Deal or no Deal. While standing in line I was approached by a producer who told me to send in a five minute tape of myself. He said that the producers wanted to view my tape. Not sure what this means, but going to give it a try. I hope I win the million dollars!

4- I DO NOT SHARE MILK! I can drink from the same soda cup as my hubby, my son (who on occasion gets runny nose, and other junk), but I will not share milk. It doesn't matter if it's in a jug, in a cup, from a milk chug, in the form of ice cream, yogurt, or any such. I just don't share. I think I have flash back moments from watching my older brother slurp down five tons of cereal and slobbering on his spoon.

5- I want to change my identity and be known as Daphnie Padoda. Only Mari, Mia, and maybe Jared will know what I am talking about. Jared... you gotta send me that song! LOL!

6- I love to go to the M&M store in Las Vegas! I love the part where you become an M&M. I of course would become a pink one!

7- My friend Emily made fudge for Jaxon and I during Christmas. Emily told Jaxon that Chocolate was a healthy vegetable and I let him believe it until Christmas was over. I am still trying to explain to him why "I lied."

I am in the Primary Presidency, and decided to keep track of the websites that we use. Thought this would be a good place to share em!

Surprise!!!

LOL! Surprise! When uncle Neal went into the hospital the only thing Jaxon could think of that would cheer him up...self explanatory.

And for the record he is planning to attend the Y (the only true University), and is well prepared for the clean cut hairdo! BYU Cougars!!!

Memories...Grandma's & Grandpa's Boy!

I came across some of these pictures sorting through boxes, and boxes, and boxes...etc of pictures. I can't believe that he was so little. I think he was only two during these photo's.

December 2007

December was a hard month for our family. We found solice in watching Jaxon enjoy the magic of Christmas! It was truly a blessing to be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas!

Go Bronco's!

November was the coolest! I took John to see a Denver Bronco's game. They won against the Titans! The second best thing about that month was that I quit my job at Novell! What a month! Thank you Grandma & Grandpa White for taking Jaxon! It was a blast!

Our little Trick or Treat!

Jaxon had more fun passing out candy than collecting it...until we got home and he looked inside his pumpkin! We love the DENTIST!

Goofy's Kitchen

Drum Roll Please! These are our favorite pictures in Goofy's Kitchen from our Disneyland trip last year. With the White Family Disney Trip planned for 2008 we thought you might like a sneak peak of what's to come! My favorite...when Grandma put the moves on Gepetto! LOL! Watch out Grandpa White!

The "BIG" Move!

We did it! We finally had our home exactly the way we wanted it, and then we sold it! Many of you didn't get to see the final results from our large project, so please enjoy!
