Bread Recipe

Ok, I give!...

Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Warm Water
1 Tablespoon Yeast
1 Tablespoon Light Salt
1/2 cup brown sugar (or less if you prefer - I have also used Splenda and I love it)
1/4 Cup Canola Oil (I have also used Vegetable, and Olive)
1 Tablespoon Wheat Gluten (found in health food stores)
1 Tablespoon (secret ingredient) - Sorry not sharing! Hee Hee.
4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour (or all 6 cups if you like)
2 Cups White Flour (don't use this if you use 6 cups of wheat)

Mix in mixer for 8 minutes. Separate into two rounds. Roll out on counter (I use Olive Oil instead of flour and it works wonders). Place into two bread pans. Let rise in Oven about 30-45 minutes until double its size. Bake at 350* for 15 minutes. Cover with foil lightly. Bake an additional 15 minutes. Let cool, and it's delicious served warm!

I made bread!

I have the best bread recipe. I am finding ways to use my 100+lbs of wheat flour! Now that I have your attention I have to admit that I got this recipe from someone in my ward. It's delicious to the taste! It's nearly 100% whole wheat flour, a little salt, pinch of oil, yeast, and my secret ingredient. This bread is so yummy once I make some for you...you'll be asking for more!

Work update...

I have had so many emails lately asking me if I have started working or not. As of right now I am keeping my options open. I am still looking into Novell, but being selective about the position I go back to...if that is what is going to happen. I am hoping to get back to the Sales department and work in Inside Sales. I miss my friends at Novell, and I miss my sista the most. I also miss working with the customers and learning more and keeping up with technology, so we shall see what comes of Novell if anything.

I have interviewed with several other companies, and believe it or not have actually turned a few jobs down that didn't fit what I was looking for. So the search still goes on. My goal is to be working again when Jaxon starts school at the end of August. He is so excited to go back to school.

More than ever I just want to have babies, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen in the foreseeable future. I am trying to stay optimistic about things, but what I have gone through lately has been the hardest time of my life.

Rock Me Amadeus - In Russian!

This is so funny. I saw this one Sunday when John was asleep. He wouldn't wake up! I have been waiting for this to come out on Youtube in US, but haven't seen it so far! LOL! This is really happening, this is no Blades of Glory! Hee Hee.

(Yes, this is in Russian).

Sunburned!

I have the worst sunburn on my back and shoulders. I thought it was a great idea to take Jaxon and Zac to the park, and then the pool for a few hours on Monday. We had a blast, but Whoa...I am burned. I haven't had a sunburn like this since I was in High School. I can't sleep, I am tired, sore and feel like jumping into a huge vat of cold water! Boo Hoo!

I didn't find any of the usual "helpful" tips worked for me. John put a carton of Light & Fit yogurt on my back, and it did the wonders! Don't know if I would do it again, but it took the burn out at least!

Note to self: A sunburned back is much better off than a sunburned bum!

Jaxon & Grandpa

I found this picture on my computer from last August. It was taken 8/2/07. My dad loved it when Jaxon would fall asleep in his arms. What a nice memory. I can't wait to get down to Provo and see dads headstone. I think it was put in today. Dad has been on my mind.

5th TOOTH

Ok...Valorey isn't here and Jaxon's teeth are still falling out. I know that kids loose their teeth, but this is getting crazy. Jaxon lost another tooth today! What a little cutie pie!

Saturday Night Feva!

My little "Bronco!"
John and I took Jaxon on his mom & dad "date." tonight. He wanted to see Speed Racer so we went to the show. It was fun. He chose our outfits, and we all went dressed in our Bronco's attire (GO BRONCO'S - and you can't say any different unless you have actually been to a professional football game!). After the movie we went to Cafe Rio. I love tortilla soup! Yummy! Jaxon was a perfect gentlemen!

Friday Night Date Night

John took me on a sweet date last night. We went to Famous Dave's BBQ. We live close to Jordan Landing, and we wanted to try something new. We weren't in a BBQ mood (since our new favorite BBQ place is in Denver "aka...Dickie's"we don't try many others), but we decided to give it a try. The food was pretty good. We were most impressed with the service. I can't remember the last time I had such great customer service at a restaurant. I would highly recommend the place.
After dinner we decided to work off some of those "calories" by hitting the putting green. I am...still practicing my swing! LOL...in case you can't see the divots in the grass! LOL!
It was a lot of fun. We then drove by the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan. We almost bought a house in that area. I love Daybreak. Some of you may not know that the house we are living in was my "birthday" present...as John bought and signed on the house without me looking at it, or approving. He was lucky! I enjoy our home and am so glad that we have met some really great friends.

Ode to Allison...

I stole this slide show! Hee Hee! Thanks for all your hard work Allison! We totally had so much fun having you come up this week and enjoyed the resort! After all it's the least we owe you for being such a wonderful Primary President, Friend, and neighbor! We will definately do it again!

Home Sweet Home

We're back today. We had the best week in Park City. It was even more fun because Allison and her family came up for a night. Jaxon played with Zac, Valorey played with Lexi, and the rest of us just hung out by the pool (that also explains why I look half awake! LOL!). Above is a slide show I stole off Allisons blog. Thanks for not posting any of those sexy pictures of me in my swimsuit! LOL! In all fairness...she had the camera for some pretty fun times! We love you Lloyd family!

The White Family Olympians

Of course we can't go to Park City without enjoying the Olympic spirit! We spent a few days up at the Olympic Park.
"Let's get on the slide again now dad!"
The slide was so fun, and I am proud of Val for being brave!

We love her - VALOREY!

I am trying to redeem myself for posting a picture of my sister on her birthday. We have had Val for the last few weeks, and we have all had a blast. She is so sweet, and such a good helper and the best friend to Jaxon. Sara, you are going to love these pic's!

Sweet Feet

This was her face when I said, "Smile and say - Jonas Brothers!"

The pizza, the duck & the hungry fish!

We had the best picnic in Deer Valley! We tried to feed the ducks but the fish got all the food! It was hilarious and the kids loved it! Who knew that lake trout liked pizza?
The Duck

The Fish...

The Jaxonator & Val Gal!

The only bums I have ever seen in Park City! Aren't they cute!

Baseball Summer 2008 - West Jordan Pony League

Jaxon played his first season of baseball! He made it to the "All Stars", but decided that he likes basketball and football much better. He was a good sport, and learned a lot about standing in the infield. He had a great time!

He was so excited for his trophy!

I couldn't get him to look at the camera because we were right in the front of a HUGE play land!

There's a smile!

More Play land distractions.

He's such a cute little tyke!

Sitting with his team.

Coach Graham.

What a fun Baseball Summer!

Happy Birthday USA!

Happy 4th all! I love, love, love it! Being a Provo gal I miss the events going on down the canyon, but I love being in the serenity in the mountains and like the energy of Park City. I am proud to be an American (and a Great American too!)! Even in these troubled times I feel so privileged to be living here. I enjoy having my freedom and feel so much gratitude for what I have and what I have been able to accomplish. There are so many others who don't have or will never understand the many blessings that we all enjoy.

Gotta LOVE J-U-L-Y!

Yipee...it's July! I am so happy it's my favorite month! We are spending the next week up in Park City at our condo, and I can't wait to have a bit of "old fashioned" 4th of July! I can't wait for the parades, fireworks, and Popsicles! Remember when being a kid meant the toughest decision to make was picking what color of Popsicle you were going to eat? That's totally what July feels like to me!

Daughtry, Disneyland & the paranoid lady.

I kept hearing the song "Home," by Chris Daughtry. It's funny because I have this picture of Jaxon at Disneyland, and guess who showed up in the picture? Chris Daughtry. Anyway, last year when we went to Disneyland we were in line at the Mr. Toady ride. There was this guy in front of us that looked familiar, and I was looking at him like...hmmm...did I go on a date with him at Ricks, or did he go to my High School or something because he looks really familiar. He kept looking at me too (probably because he thought I was some psycho fan), and the entire time I kept thinking that he was going to ask me if...I knew him...well, nothing. I just stood in line with Jaxon and my mother in law. Silent awkwardness. Then I got my camera out because I realized I hadn't taken any pictures in the entire three days at Disneyland so I got very camera happy. Thinking that this guy (whom I went out with or something) was totally acting strange. To make a long story short once I got the camera out the paranoid lady next to him shouted, "Chris, she just took a picture!" He resoonded, "it's cool, it's cool!" I was totally thinking, ya weirdo...I am not taking pictures of you guys, I am taking one of my son...but then I looked at the pic, and yep...they were in there too. After the ride was over I kept thinking...Chris, hmmm, nope don't think I dated any Chris' in college. Then it hit me. Paranoid lady, and a rock star taking their kids to Disneyland! LOL! I have had this picture for over a year now, so I figure it's safe to post on my own blog! No, for the record, I am not paparazzi! LOL!

Click on the pic if ya don't believe me (sorry lady with the behind!)

Whistle While I Work?

Once again the "work" ethic has begun. With Jaxon starting Kindergarten this fall...I am off to start working again. So here I am. Not the typical "Utah" mom, and searching for the "right fit." I must say that I do absolutely love being a mom! It is far better than being a career woman, however, I do find accomplishment in working. I am excited at my prospects today, and have a hope for some exciting opportunities. I have enjoyed being a full time mom with the challenges of managing a household, but I am a much better multi-tasker! I seem to get a lot more done, my house is cleaner, and I am more organized when I am working. Jaxon is at the age where he longs for other interaction with other kids, and mom just isn't the coolest person to play "transformers" with! It's great to see him learning and growing and being such a people person. I guess that's the bonus of having a child that's an only child...they can't afford to be shy. Jaxon makes friends everywhere he goes. I love it! So, this ones for you Kellie, and Mari (seem to think that I have to hide behind Jaxon in every picture - Ha... this self portrait is just for you! Oh yea, don't I have "wreck less eyes" LOL!).

Another one "bites" the dust!

After only five hours at the swimming pool we came home to another relaxing evening. All of a sudden, dejas vu! Jaxon again, standing in the living room...missing another tooth! Doesn't he know that the tooth fairy needs to pay the water bill? LOL!
