My Little - Big Football Player 2011
Jaxon played tackle football this summer. He has been such a good sport. I have had to miss quite a few practices and games due to Charly being in the hospital, but he's been a trooper about all of it.
Here's my little man at practice.
What a tough cookie!
Practice was 6 days a week for 3+ hours each day in the grueling heat.
He did lots of drills.
And he ran A LOT. Every time they made a mistake or missed a drill...they had to run. Again, grueling heat. I'm not sure I'm going to let him play next year!
One of the kids on his team broke his foot at practice. I was nervous that Jaxon would get hurt too. I couldn't bear the thought of two kids in the hospital at the same time! He had a hard time and struggled through the practices, but he LOVED the games. He made a few touch-downs, and tackled a few big players, but he really didn't like to tackle.
John was made one of the Assistant Coaches during the game season. Once school started practice went to 4 nights a week for 3+ hours, and a two hour practice before the (2 hour game) on Saturdays. I personally thought it was WAY too much pressure and practice for an 8 year old (almost 9).
John had his patience tried a few times trying to teach Jaxon how to play football...
But in the end...they became better pals.
Here's Jaxon with his team.
Love you Jaxon!

Charly's First Bath
Charly has been so small and fragile that she hasn't had full baths yet...until today.
She's out of her tiny isolette and in a big girl crib! She's still so small and fits into one of the pink hospital tubs.
She's also stable enough to get a bath every two days. She's so tiny, wiggly, and slippery...I'm so glad the nurses here are helping!!
I know she LOVES bath-time!

Visits from Grandma
It's October...and Charly's still at Primary Childrens. She has a long way to go until she's capable of coming home. Her head measurements and ultrasounds have been going fairly well. We were supposed to be transferred back to IMC, but of course, her head ultrasound showed more swelling in her ventricles. So, I've given up, and we will remain here until we finally get to bring her home.
Grandma White has a busy schedule. She works full time downtown.
This is the first chance she had to take the TRAX to come and see Charly since she was moved from IMC. I'm pretty sure Charly missed her Grandma.

What a Son!
I've had a really rough week. I went back to work after 4 weeks of having Charly (emergency c-section). Sometimes I wonder what in the world I was thinking. I know some days it helps me get through the pain and anguish, and others...it causes it.
My days seem to run together. Work, hospital, football practice, pumping, cleaning...and worrying.
My sweet little Jaxon could read my worry and stress so well this week. I've gotten several undeserving hugs, and a note that just made me light up! I've got a terrific son! Love you Jaxon!
PS..Jaxon...YOU ROCK!

Jaxon's 9th Birthday
I can't believe that my little boy is turning into a little man. He's been such a wonderful example of work, love, strength, and optimism this year!
We had a small birthday party for him at the Nickelmania (his favorite).
There are two silly boys with their prizes...(Jaxon & Parker...Halloween stuff...go figure).
Some of Jaxon's "Girl FRIENDS"...lol (Bella, Cassie, and Alexia...but he really does think they are cute!)
And...two more "trouble maker" friends (Logan, and Zac).
Happy 9th Birthday Jaxon! I love you so much!

Baby & Mama Shower
I had a wonderful time today visiting with friends, neighbors and
family. We had TERRIFIC turnout for the baby shower! The gifts are
such a blessing, but the support and love that was felt tonight will
never be forgotten. Thank you all so much! I had a very busy day at Primary Children's before the baby shower, and felt very tired...I pretty much look a mess...but that's to be expected.
Me & Jen Cook (best friends since 3rd grade).
Lynn Stallard, Me, and Susie Record (Susie's baby Audrey is in the NICU at Primary's with Charly. It's no coincidence! Susie and I were neighbors 4 years ago...in fact, her husband was our home teacher).
My Mom, Me, Kim (due with baby Boy Bentley on Oct 15th) and Sara (due with baby Boy Lincoln on October 13th...yep, we were all supposed to have babies within 3 weeks of each other. I guess Charly just couldn't wait to get here first.

Biopsy on Charly
I'm sorry If I'm not responding to anyone timely (text, facebook, phone, blogs, etc)...It's been a crazy
week. Charly had another test done today (a rectal biopsy) and has another one
tomorrow. The surgeons are trying to 'rule out' something or other... I
will try and respond to messages, and emails as soon as I can. Thanks
for all your love and support. Keep the prayers coming.

Moving Charly to Primarys
Of course...the most updates are on Charly's blog, but I wanted to inform everyone here as well: Charly was moved to Primary Children's today - being evaluated for a bowel problem, and watching the status of her brain bleeds carefully...I will have updates as they come. The staff at IMC let me hold her before she was moved...as they warned me...it may be a long time before I get to hold her again. This day, by far, has been the very most stressful.

Blessing Charly Bella
We are blessing our little Charly Bella today.
Such a special day to do
this on Pioneer Day. I feel like I am going through my own Pioneer
experience with this sweet little girl. When I worry, become afraid, or
start to doubt...I can feel her whisper to me "all is well mom". So
thankful for all that I have. Thanks to all for your prayers and
thoughts in our behalf. I feel so lucky to have this choice experience,
and so grateful for the Pioneers who struggled in our behalf. Have a
wonderful Pioneer Day!

Charly Bella
Today we had the greatest miracle and blessing arrive.
Charly Bella was born today at 12:33 p.m. She is a beautiful baby.
We have created a blog on her behalf to update friends and family on her status, condition, and the miracle that she is. We know that EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and feel extremely blessed to have her a part of our family. We know we will be turning our hearts to the Lord to help us during this trail in our lives. We hope you will follow us on this journey with Charly Bella.
