Disney World ~ Animal Kingdom

Disney Animal Kingdom is really fun. They have the big tree of life that is the center of the park, and it has all kinds of Disney Animal creations inside hidden places. The park breaks out into Camp Mickey, The Safari, Petting Zoo, & Africa. The Lion King show is a must see. We went on Earth Day so that was really fun because they just came out with the Disney Earth movie and everything was hyped about that. It was a very hot day, but so worth it. I liked the Safari, Jaxon loved the talking garbage, and John liked all of it. One of our Favorite days...

The first day at Disney World was spent at Disney Hollywood Studios. Jaxon's favorite ride at Disneyworld/land is the Woody Ride

(and Buzz in Fantasyland).
John loved the Live action car scenes. I liked my FAVORITE bands...Rockin Roller Coaster by Aerosmith!! Yeah, it totally ROCKS!!! And then... We all crashed!

Clearwater Florida 09

We decided to head to the beach the first day we arrived. We had a five day pass to Disney World, but wanted to make sure that we saved time for Jaxon's favorite thing...the beach. We went to Clearwater Beach (which is West of Tampa). Clearwater is a really nice little beach town. The sand on that side of Florida is white and clean. There are shells that run up and down the beach everywhere which makes it fun, and makes you "feel" like you are really at the "beach" (aka..no garbage, sea weed, etc). Jaxon making a run for it!

I had the wonderful opportunity to take Sara to NY. We both needed to get away and just cheer up. This was an awesome trip! I love you Sara!

Easter Sunday 2009

Easter morning started off great! Jaxon loved all of the "junk" the Easter Bunny brought. He was good to remember that Easter has a true meaning, and not just about candy...although, he was excited about that too.

Sunday was mom's first Easter without Dad, so Sara & I took Mom to the Easter Brunch at Little America. My dad worked for Sinclair Oil for 25 years and had always taken us to Little America brunch a couple of times a year. In our own small way it was our way of remembering Dad, and keeping mom busy that day Sara & Val gal - Funny girls!

Saturday Easter Celebration 2009

Easter is always a great time at the White House! Johns parents always have a huge Easter Egg Hunt in their backyard, and all the Gran kids go crazy! It was really fun! This year was a little special. Grandpa & Grandma White issued a Book of Mormon Challenge to everyone. They passed out cards with President Monsons picture on the front, and a section on the back where you have an opportunity to sign your name stating that you commit to reading the Book of Mormon daily ~ your entire life. It was BY FAR my favorite Easter at the White's! Oh, and for the record...Jaxon now does not like the yolks in deviled eggs! What a picky kid!The whole family was challenged!

Jaxons new cousin

I took Jaxon down to see Kim and her new baby Max. He was so excited to be a new cousin, and he was happy that Max is a boy! He can't wait to help babysit and show Max all of his toys!

Adam Sandler...Gotta love him!

I have to admit it... I'm having a Love Affair with Adam Sandler. Not Literally (words are taken from my friend Rhea Mcarthur- who was 95 years old when she fell in love with Colin Powell), but I do love Adam Sandler. John reminds me a lot of Adam Sandler. In fact, when I was in Labor with Jaxon I made John bring Billy Madison so I would have something to laugh at when I got scared or nervous. It was funny because even Dr. Jones started watching it while I was delivering! LOL, anyhow, I love this freakin' cute picture of his dog! Matzoball! Love it! This is exactly how I felt when I went to church today!! LOL!!

I have been sick all week, and while finally climbing out of bed at...uh well...11ish...I saw this on Studio 5 (what can I say, Im hooked on KSL).

I think I found a gal with my own heart!!!

February Madness...not March?

Now that it's March...I'm finally getting to last February! LOL! It went by too fast! For Valentines Day John decorated my car. It reminded me of when we were dating. We stayed out really late the night before (past 2-3) and then he drove back to SL, slept for an hour and drove back early in the morning to decorate my car before I went to work. This time was much easier as he decorated it inside the garage! It was really sweet of him though!

We also took Jaxon to Las Vegas for the week. He loves that JetBlue has Direct TV inside the plane! It was so funny! He didn't want to look out the window because of the "glare" that it put on his screen! What a funny kid! When we go to Las Vegas as a family we are always careful about where we go and what we do. It has it's good side, and it's very bad side"s". When going out in broad daylight there is a lot to do and see. Jaxon loved that we stayed next to New York, NY, and can't wait until we go there as a family (the real thing...ya know, Home Alone was is favorite movie at Christmas!) Jaxon thought the "castle" was pretty cool.
We always eat at the Rainforest Cafe in Vegas. Jaxon loves it. The food is overpriced, but it's good, and it's a place that John and I can sit and talk for hours because Jaxon is just looking all over the place at everything.
Best of all is the M&M Store. We love it! Again, overpriced, etc, but we always have a blast. We take Jaxon to the grocery store and he loads up on whatever M&M stuff he can find...saves money, time, and he loves it!
We had tickets to the Knights of the Round Table. The show was pretty fun, but I think that was what you would classify as a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.The feast began with Tomato soup (Campbell's?), then the rest of the meal you eat with your hands... a big slab of chicken (with the bones), a huge stock of broccoli, and a choice between Pepsi, or Diet Pepsi...lol, and that's it!
(don't they know that there was no SODA back in the dark ages!! Dummies, even I know that!) Poor Jaxon! I felt so bad for him!! Everything seemed to be going good until after the show that night...then Jaxon got sick. And I am talking...sick. This kid has only gotten the barfies maybe three times in his whole life, and wow, this was really gross! Now he tells me "I NEVER WANT TO GO TO LAS VEGAS AGAIN!" So, I suppose you could say that the trip served it's purpose.
